This is a 4 speaker system (2 channels, front and rear through a fader). Assume 4 speaks are driven during use.

Power Leads: good and both units power on, fuses good. Used my bench top supply to power at 12.7VDC and measured 0.1A quiescent to PA and 0.28A quiescent to booster. Something is running inside them... :)
Booster output DC resistance: 25-26 Ohms, sounds about right.
Multi-pin speaker cables tested good from the amp with 3-6 Ohms resistance. Getting a little old but should work. Tested speaker cables from amp via box to ends - 28 to 31 Ohms - good connection through.
All connections inside P-Box tested and looked good. P-Boxes from the shack were a good bargain.

I turned booster on and then turned on and off the PA. The booster showed a turn-on thump on front output bar LED's for both events. Indicates booster is working and that PA is outputting "something" when turned on. I also hooked up the DMM to the outputs and saw a flicker so something is getting out of the booster.

I don't have a 1/4" RCA mic to test the system but am starting to think the mic was bad. Will check at Wally for a cheapie and see if I can do a full test.

Cheers / Robert

Yup. Just need a known good mic. to test it and hook scope to output. Wally doesn't stock cheap karaoke mics anymore.
