Welcome to IndyRockets

This site was created as a resource for anyone interested in hobby rocketry in central Indiana.

This is also the source for information on the Rocketeers Of Central Indiana (ROCI), Section #625 of The National Association of Rocketry (NAR). Feel free to check here for information about ROCIs launch events. The launch events are conducted throughout the warmer months at the Academy of Model Aeronautics' Headquarters and Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. This facility is the finest flying field in the state and ROCI is proud to be the exclusive host of the rocketry events held there. ROCI is not currently conducting meetings as we have lost our meeting place.

Will do. Just traveled E/W on I-70 and there's a lot of construction on both sides. Most of the way between Indy and Richmond was posted 55 with quite a bit of one lane going only on both sides.

Sadly, I will not be there. It came down to getting my L1 Cert (ready) and going on a motorcycle trip to North Carolina for 5 days. This was really a hard choice as I want to see the Renegade fly really bad, but friends invited me a couple months ago and I said yes when departure date was fluid. Was hoping to do both.
Next time, will have 75mm Renegade, Mini-Magg, and 2.6" 29mm Quark upscale ready to fly.
Good flying all - gonna be warm, bring the water & hats...

Good Afternoon-
Is this launch open to the public or only club members? I am getting back into model rocketry since my boys are building rockets for 4-H. I have a few entry level Estes Rockets that are ready to launch but was looking for a place to go. Would this be an appropriate site/time. I have looked throw this posting topic but could not figure out all of the jargon. Any information would be helpful. Thank you and good luck tomorrow.

One more question, would membership applications be available at this event? I saw that dues were $20
