Welcome to IndyRockets

This site was created as a resource for anyone interested in hobby rocketry in central Indiana.

This is also the source for information on the Rocketeers Of Central Indiana (ROCI), Section #625 of The National Association of Rocketry (NAR). Feel free to check here for information about ROCIs launch events. The launch events are conducted throughout the warmer months at the Academy of Model Aeronautics' Headquarters and Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. This facility is the finest flying field in the state and ROCI is proud to be the exclusive host of the rocketry events held there. ROCI is not currently conducting meetings as we have lost our meeting place.

Hi Tim,
10 would be fine. It's always nice to have some extra hands.
Thanks

Looks like tomorrow should be a decent day. Winds from the south, i seem to remember that the corn is to the east and beans to the north.
Temps in the mid 80s so sun screen and water should be on everybody's list.
Social distancing and masks are still in effect.

Hope to see everybody there.

I was planning to attend this weekend but I’ve developed a cough. It’s probably just my allergies acting up but I’ve decided it would be best if I not share it with the rest of you.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you all for supporting Luke for his Junior L1 cert today. Big shout out to John K for the testing, Lee & Jay B. or completing the Cert, and Gary D for having the epoxy for minor repairs after motor #1 decided to come apart on the launch pad.

Here is a link to some pics from his big day.

Thanks to everybody for coming out to the launch this past weekend and a special thanks to the support from SCAM and the use of their launch controller. Also, a thanks to WSR for help in obtaining the Jr Level 1 test and their continues support.
In total, we had 138 rockets launched. Mike Rohde let the way with 11, all on Saturday. We had 2 staged flights and one cluster of 4 E30s.
By motor size:
A-10, B-11, C-20, D-14, E-8, F-18, G-16, H-23, I-12, J-5, K-1.
Saturday saw a lot of rockets landing out in the beans and corn while Sunday was better with wind from the Northwest.
Once again, thanks for all that came.
Also, congratulations to Luke Sharp on his Jr level 1 cert.
