Over 270 registered flyers....lots of people and spectators! Lines for getting a pad. I think Thunderstruck (while much smaller) had better pad management. Lots of hazards at Bong....ponds, wetlands, prairie, trees, etc.
I launched 3. I lost sight of two and totally had to find them via GPS. I launched my modified 2piston PML Andromeda on a J435 to 2188', The Stinky Sewer Pipe on a K513FJ to 4001', and the ARCAS on a L1000 to 5957'. Above are averages between the 2 onboard altimeters. Weather very nice except for Sat AM which had rain, but cleared by mid morning. It had been dry there so most sparkies caused small fires that delayed launches.
