My Andromeda is a modified PML kit that I stretched to use 2 pistons…one for drogue and one for main. RockSim projected 2572’ on a J460. My Quantum reported 2643’ and the backup Quark reported 2582’ for an ave of 2612’. The 60” main draped across corn, but rest of the rocket missed it! While I had telemetry, the voice module wasn’t working with the club’s PA.
My old 3” BBX went to 1597’ on a H195. It had an Eggfinder Mini in it; missed the corn, but hit the pavement knocking off a fin that will be fixed. Both rockets had one of my 110db screamers on board.
My stretched Terrier/Sandhawk was simmed at 2438’ on an I-345 àG-58. I had a separation charge set for 0.6s after burnout and to fire the sustainer at 1.2s. There is an inhibit for sustainer ignition if deviation greater than 20% between accelerometer and baro altitude. This time, the telemetry voice module did work with the PA. It flew to 2557’ and the booster went to 1106’. I had GPS signal on the sustainer and it was close to the road E of site 1. Jay and John had given me lines on the booster which appeared to be in the corn. Both had screamers on them. Well, the booster went further than originally thought and landed in the beans….but on the line. The sustainer was also on the line but fortunately on the second time out in the field I had a better fix so Bryan found it. Again, thanks to Bryan and John for the help! On board was a GPS, 2-JLCRs, Eggtimer Proton and Apogee, RRC2+, camera, screamers, LiPos, plus all the regular rocket stuff. So glad to retrieve all of it! Video worked but I need to edit. There is a good pic of the booster at separation and the timing was good so that the interstage coupler didn’t get blasted. The screamers worked, but since it took a while to find, the button batteries had given out. The video sound verifies they were working….for a while. All in all, a good flight.

Here's a link to video of the up fight of the Terrier/Sandhawk. My camera starts a new file every 5 mins, so most of the down is in another file....but it's not that exciting anyway.
www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ri9sc8hvtqgvmw68k...o8xgdmeiou20occ&dl=0 You can catch a glimpse of the separation then ignition. No damage to any pieces. Next flight will be an I to an H which should go to 3,500'. May put an Eggfinder mini in the booster.
