A great day for flying. Blue skies, light wind, although a little more than the weatherguessers promised and free donuts. Thanks Walt!!!
Congratulations to Rick Lyman for your Level 1 certification!

Rick Randol of NewWay Rocket fame led the pack with 6 launches.
Controller performance was greatly improved from May. There were 4 instances where it would not allow a launch attempt and two instances of pushing the launch buttons and not launching that were not attributable to some sort of ignitor issue. Both instances of where the launch buttons were pushed and no launch occurred on the same rocket, with the second failure coming as a retry following the first failure.
Of the 4 instances of not being able to try to launch one occurred during set up.
Two of the instances where the system would not allow a launch attempt and the two failed tries all occurred in a cluster.
All failures were cleared by cycling power to the pad boxes.
3 of the failures were the controller losing contact with the pad box and one was an issue where the controller showed continuity on a pad that had just been launched but not on a pad waiting to launch. The pad box showed continuity on both pads in question , with the launched pad continuity clearing when the ignitor lead was removed from the clips.
Thanks to everyone whop helped run the launch and thanks to Lee Berry of Merlin Missiles fame for his support during the launch.

I would like to add the turnout was good. Thanks to all that helped with set up and tear down. The addition of antenna towers added some time to the break down, but with the additional help it was manageable.
Welcome to new members Chris and Dan. Look forward to your builds and contribution to our club.

I wish we could have stayed with the smaller antennas mounted on the controller boxes but we were just not getting reliable transmissions with everything so close to the ground. Unfortunately, the only way to solve that problem was to raise the antennas to about 6 feet above the ground.
